Below we have outlined what you should accomplish in session 4 to stay on track with your business plan. Don't forget that you need to be working on your business plan on the Ag Plan website as you are going through the Chapter 4 exercises. Chapter 4 is all about developing your enterprise budget. In chapter 3 we developed our start-up cost based on the capital and equipment we need to get started and depreciated these items to have an annual cost of ownership. This annual cost of ownership will be our fixed cost in our enterprise budget and the exercises below will help walk you through the rest of the enterprise budgeting process.

Disclaimer: these spreadsheets were developed with you in mind but they contain only basic assumptions about production cost, yields, and pricing. DO NOT assume that these budgets will accurately represent what your farm will be capable of producing and selling but please use these budgets to help facilitate what cost, yields, and pricing data you will need to collect. Every farm and situation will be different and these budgets cannot account for those differences.
