Don't forget that you need to be working on your business plan on the Ag Plan website as you are going through the Chapter 1 worksheets. Your Homework
- If you have not yet, read the Session 1 material from your handbook
- Start assessing the resources you have available to help start your new farm.
- If you have land now is the time to take a soil sample

- You will want to do a "predictive soil sample"

For Ag Plan Week 1, Module 1:
- Fill out the following sections under "Executive Summary"
- Complete the "Business Summary Tab"
- Use the mission statement you started in class to write your mission statement in the "Vision/Mission Statement" tab. Vision and Mission Help
- We also asked you to think through some of your goals in class but in your business plan we want you to write out some short term and long term business goals, this will go under the "Goals" tab. Sample of smart goals for agriculture.
For Ag Plan Week 2, Module 2:
- Fill out the following sections under "Business Description"
- Use the Resource assessment worksheet to assist in completing the "Facilities" tab. Use the answers from pages 25-27 to help complete this tab. Comprehensive capital list spreadsheet with cost included: Capital List
- Fill out the following sections under "Management and Organization"
- Complete your "personnel plan" tab.
- Complete your "management team" tab.

For Ag Plan Week 3, Module 3:
- Fill out the following sections under "Business Description"
- Fill out the "production system" tab by including the basic activities and timing of the production sequence. Sample Production Plans: Sheep Lambing Production System, Crop Production Sequence and Planting Plan
- List the products that the farm will be producing under the "products and services" tab. Products and Services Help
