Know Your Market: Foothills Farmers Learn to Thrive

We had a great NC Farm School Foothills Session 3 at the N.C. Cooperative Extension - Cleveland County Center!


This session was all about building a strong marketing foundation for your farm! We covered the essential 5 P’s of Marketing: Product, Place, People, Promotion, and Price. Students dove deep into market research, learned how to define their target market, explored different market channels, and discussed pricing strategies to help their farm businesses thrive!

Bee Sweet Bee Farm: We got a firsthand look at the fascinating honey-making process, from hive to jar, and learned about the different honey products. We even had the chance to taste test - delicious!
Willis Farms Sorghum

Willis Farms: We explored how corn and sorghum are grown and processed, and discussed how these crops can be transformed into value-added products!

Session 3 was packed with practical insights and real-world experiences to help our farmers take their marketing plans to the next level!
