Introducing our 2018 Putting Small Farms to Work Series

Note: This series is not a substitute for NC Farm School but may complement the NC Farm School program before or during your attendance of the NC Farm School Program.

If you are looking to consider ways to make income off of your land, we invite you to attend the Putting Small Farms to Work workshop series. Starting in February 2018, on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, NC Cooperative Extension will host a series of workshops that include:

Small Fruit Production- $25

Topics Covered: Blueberries, Blackberries & Muscadines, Site Selection, Production Systems, Variety Selection, Facilities/Infrastructure Needed, Start-Up Costs, Marketing Options, Insect/Disease Control, Post Harvest Handling

Pastured  Poultry Production-$25

Each workshop includes a classroom session in the morning, followed by a  nearby farm visit in the afternoon, lunch is included with each session. Attend all four sessions and pay only $75.
